Guided Hike

Discover the site with an immersive, outdoor experience at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. This experience will be led by our cultural interpreters, this hike takes you through the drive lanes, across the hills above the Interpretive Centre.

Along the way, you'll learn about traditional hunting methods, Blackfoot history, and the natural ecology and geology of this breathtaking landscape.

Time: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM (approx. 2.5 hrs) 

Start Location: Main Entrance Plaza, Interpretive Centre

Cost: $10 per participant (not included in general admission)

Booking: In-person or by phone/email — spaces are limited!

What to Bring:

             Water (at least 1L)

             Packed lunch

             Sunscreen & hat

             Weather-appropriate clothing (layers recommended)

             Sturdy walking shoes

             A respectful attitude toward the land and teachings

Moderate difficulty: uneven terrain and extended walking.

No pets. Wildlife (bears, cougars) may be present—please be bear aware.

Be prepared to eat lunch outdoors during the hike.
